Project Description
Operation optimization and fundamental upgrading of the central building air conditioning system is summarized as follows:
• New main HVAC piping routing.
• Complete installation on the roof of the building of two new air cooled heat pump chillers of high performance (type Partial Heat Recovery), replacing the old chillers (refrigerant R-22).
The new cooling ensured:
• smooth operating and improved indoor conditions
• simultaneous cooling and heating,
• hot water production through heat recovery
• reduced maintenance requirements and costs
• cooling and heating energy cost savings of more than 35%.
Namely, the replacement of the old chillers with simultaneous appropriate re-adjustment of cooling and heating water distribution, led to optimum operating result with significant energy cost savings.
